Science Clubs

LEAPS currently offers after school science clubs at four school sites. These clubs provide opportunities for students to have contact with positive, scientist role models and mentors from UCSB, while increasing their understanding in science through hands-on experiences. The clubs meet weekly through out the academic year.

The elementary clubs are run in collaboration with the Endowment for Youth 'Putting it Back' program and funded by the Norris Foundation. The junior high level clubs are funded by the National Science Foundation and the Santa Barbara Foundation Teen After School Program.
